Photo and text by Annie Guttridge- Sharks Need Love: "Some species within the hammerhead family are extremely social, such as scalloped hammerheads, whereas others like the great hammerhead are considered solitary. Here in Bimini during the winter months, we regularly see between 3-6 great hammerheads together brought in by the scent of bait and an easy meal. Bimini Shark Lab has conducted systematic research on these endangered sharks since 2014 and were featured in one of our opening Shark Week shows earlier this week, Hammerhead Invasion."
